9 Ways to Make Her Feel Appreciated

September 14, 2021

National Wife Appreciation Day is right around the corner (you can thank us later).

How can you make her feel loved, special, appreciated, and more? We’ve got your back.

Making your special someone feel special, contrary to popular belief, doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. In fact, the simplicity may surprise you.

In the spirit of keeping things simple, let’s get down to it.

9. Notice the Little Things

  • Did she change her nail color?
  • Do something different with her hair?
  • Is she wearing a top you’ve never seen, or shoes you don’t recognize?

Compliment her!

Not only does this tell her you think she looks good, but it also shows her that you notice the little things about her, no matter how small or insignificant.

8. Make Her Feel Beautiful

Yes, making her feel beautiful takes a little bit more than simply telling her she’s beautiful. Making her feel beautiful through your actions makes all the difference.

“Okay, so how do I make her feel beautiful?”

  • Notice she’s feeling a bit down, or tired. Go out of your way to make her feel better. Make her a meal, or bring her her favorite before-bed snack.
  • Send her a spontaneous flower arrangement while she’s at work. Add on a sweet, personalized note. No occasion needed!

7. Set the Mood & Make Her Mouth Water

  • Light some candles
  • Pop the cork off that bottle of her favorite wine
  • Cook her her favorite meal

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach…well hate to break it to ya fellas, the same can be said for the ladies!

6. Draw Her A Bath

We’re sticking with candles here, guys. Candles are a gal’s best friend.

Make it moody and romantic. Set her up with her favorite book or movie, light some candles, pour her a glass, and leave her to soak the day away.

5. Listen

Sometimes listening (the right way) is harder than you think.

As women, we don’t always want a solution to our problems, we just want someone to complain to after a long hard day. Be that person for her!

Don’t offer solutions, offer sympathy and let her know her frustrations are valid.

4. Give Her A Smooch

Oh, this one can’t be too hard, right?

A surprise kiss can go a long way. Kiss her on the forehead or the cheek for a little extra tenderness that will stay with her all day long.

3. Take Her Out

When is it time to stop dating your significant other?

Never is the correct answer!

Date night is probably one of the best ways to keep the spark alive. Remind her how much you love her and how much fun you have together.

2. Ask For Her Opinions

Be it about your new haircut, new outfit, or an important work decision: include her! Ask for her advice, and let her know how much you value her input.

1. Be Vulnerable

Being vulnerable with anyone takes courage. Nobody likes laying out their weaknesses and innermost thoughts for people to see. But that’s what makes it so special. Show her you trust her and love her enough to share things with her that you wouldn’t share with anyone else.

Most importantly, do something you know she’ll love. Don’t forget, you know her best!
