Lisa Elfante from Central Florist in Valley Stream, New York knows a thing or two about running a floral shop with authenticity. Bonus tip: you can use this to your advantage and build your brand, even during COVID. Find out how on this next episode of Flower Shop Secrets.
Lisa Elfante likes to joke that when she first started in the floral industry, she didn’t know the difference between a rose and a carnation. While this may be a slight exaggeration, Lisa made her career jump into the floral industry after doing nails for Soap Opera stars. Today, she runs and operates her floral business, Central Florist in Valley Stream, New York.
Her approach to stay authentic when serving her customers has gone a long way. From giving relationship advice to her customers who too often order apology bouquets to running contests for free flower giveaways on her social media accounts.
While in quarantine, Lisa’s actually been able to successfully grow her online network and strengthen her brand by sharing live videos that help her stay connected with her community.
